Founded in 1950 by George & Richard Lines, Wrenn initially operated under the name, Lines Brothers Ltd., which they had inherited from their father. The company later acquired the Meccano Modelled Miniatures range, which marked the creation of Wrenn Railways in 1967. Its history was marked by multiple acquisitions and periods of dormancy. However, enduring the tests of time, Wrenn has remained a force in the model toy industry, continuing to delight model railway hobbyists with its top-notch products. An interesting fact is that all of Wrenn's products were designed to a scale of 1:76, colloquially known as '00' scale, and they remain as one of the very few manufacturers to produce such scale models.
