The roots of the Wilag brand trace back to Switzerland, established by Willi and Agnes Gysi in 1948. They initially started producing miniature cars complying with 1:43 scale, gaining praise and popularity among the collectors for the exceptional level of detail and craftsmanship. Not one to rest on past laurels, Wilag expanded into producing toy trains and aeroplanes, keeping the spark of innovation alive throughout their history. One of the interesting anecdotes about the company is that it was a true family business with the couple’s sons taking over the operations upon maturity.
