Johann Philipp Wüstendörfer established a toy factory in Fürth before 1900. His son Ernst Paul entered the business in 1905. A local account describes the founder as a tinsmith and tin-toy manufacturer and traces changes in the family firm during the early twentieth century. Around 1921, a further Wüstendörfer toy company appeared under Karl, another son of Johann Philipp. The local account notes that the family businesses were later united, though it does not date that merger.

Wüstendörfer’s products included tin summer toys and doll accessories, among them bathtubs. The trademark PW was used on its toys. A toy-collector reference places the end of production at about 1970. The documented business history places the maker in Fürth’s broader toy industry, whose firms produced metal, tin and mechanical toys.
