Politoys was founded in 196 in Milan, Italy. Interestingly, the brand was initially known as 'Polistil', but changed its name to Politoys in the 197s. The company experienced its golden period during the '60s and '70s, when its meticulously crafted toy cars became a favourite among kids and collectors alike. One interesting fact is that Politoys was one of the first brands to introduce plastic for the production of toy cars instead of the traditional die-cast metal, aiding in reducing costs without compromising on the quality and intricate detailing. However, the company gradually faded out of the limelight, only to be bought by the May Cheong Group in 199.
