Play-Doh began its journey in 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio, established by the Rainbow Crafts Company. Initially conceived as wallpaper cleaner in the 193s, it was repurposed into a creative toy when a classroom of children started using it for crafts. The brand was later sold to the famous toy company, Hasbro, in 1991, and has been nurtured under its umbrella subsidiary Playskool. Over time, Play-Doh has evolved and expanded, adding exciting innovations, including themed playsets and a plethora of new colors.
