Ernst Plank (E.P.) is a historic toy brand renowned for its definitive collection of ingenious miniature models and mechanical toys. The brand is most known for its steam engines, magic lanterns, and trains, along with an impressive gamut of other mechanical and optical toys. With a name synonymous with quality and unparalleled craftsmanship, Ernst Plank (E.P.) takes you on a nostalgic ride into a past where each toy was not just a plaything, but a work of art.

Founded in 1866, in Nuremberg, Germany, by Ernst Plank himself, this iconic brand began as a small-scale operation focusing mainly on the production of optical toys. Within a decade, the pioneering spirit of the man behind the brand led to the expansion of the offering to include a wider range of toys, particularly steam engines. As the years went by, E.P. became known for its magic lanterns, considered the precursors of modern projectors. Ernst Plank produced some of the finest toy trains of the era, setting new trends in the toy industry. Sadly, with the advent of WWI and the untimely demise of Ernst Plank in 1895, the company gradually lost its footing and finally ceased production in 1935.
