In 1996, Philip de Souza sold the company due to health reasons to Ren Naber. Naber relocated the company to his home town of Hengelo. In 2008, it was sold once more, with Rob Geldermans taking over the brand and maintaining its high standards in model train crafting. Interesting fact: The name 'Philotrain' is derived from taking the first 'Phil' from 'Philip' and combining it with 'Train'.
