Nacoral Intercars
Nacoral Inter Cars was a range of metal miniature vehicles made by the Spanish toy company Nacoral in Zaragoza. Nacoral also produced plastic toys, including the Chiqui Cars series, before shifting its focus in the early 1970s toward metal Inter Cars models. The ranges included passenger cars and commercial vehicles, with features such as opening parts and suspension on some models. Nacoral miniatures were also made or distributed abroad under different arrangements, including production in Colombia during the 1970s.

The story of Nacoral Intercars
Jacinto Olloqui Arellano established a plastics business in Zaragoza in the 1950s; it later became Nacoral S.A. The company made household plastic goods and toys, including dolls, balls and miniature vehicles. After obtaining authorization to import zamak, it began making scale cars and other metal vehicles. Its Chiqui Cars, introduced in 1967, were plastic models at 1:43 scale. Some designs had opening doors, movable parts, suspension and separately fitted details. Nacoral began making metal miniatures in 1969, and a small number of Chiqui Cars also appeared in zamak.
Nacoral’s Inter Cars range developed as a metal line in the 1970s, as the company moved away from plastic Chiqui Cars. The models included passenger cars and variations on commercial vehicles such as the Pegaso and Land Rover. Nacoral also sold metal miniatures produced by the Belgian firm Sablon before undertaking its own zamak production. Some Nacoral toys were produced in Colombia between 1973 and 1976 by CompañĂa Iberoamericana de Juguetes Nacoral. The Zaragoza factory was authorized to cease activities in early 1982; the Inter Cars range is documented through the period leading up to that closure.
