The story of Mikansue
Mike and Sue Richardson founded the British model-car brand Mikansue. From 1973 to 1989, it produced white-metal kits and models in 1:43 scale. Its range was divided into three named series: Grand Tourisme for European cars, Americana for American cars and Competition for European racing cars. The Competition range included a Vanwall Special kit, one version of which was later modified by a model builder to represent a different configuration. A specialist listing also records Mikansue among makers of classic British and American cars in the 1970s and 1980s.
