Midgetoys is a beloved toy brand popular for its miniature die-cast metal replica models. The brand is celebrated for its envisaged American lifestyle through its mix of miniature emergency vehicles, trucks, trains, and even military equipment. The products created by Midgetoys provide an experience of nostalgia on the adventurous American roads and rail from the mid-20th century, making it a prized possession for collectors alike.

Midgetoys was founded in 1946 in the United States by Al and Earl Herdklotz, in Rockford, Illinois. These brothers had plenty of experience in the toy industry as they inherited and managed the toy-making factory from their father. The Herdklotz brothers blended their knowledge and broadened their scope by focusing on smaller, more detailed miniature toys that fitted in a childs pocket and thus Midgetoys was born. Midgetoys was the first company to produce pocket-sized vehicles in the United States, a revolutionary concept at that time. The company maintained a high standard of quality and attention to detail throughout their tenure, and these values can still be seen in their toys today.
