Manoil
Manoil Manufacturing Company was an American toy maker whose products included hollow-cast lead toy soldiers, metal airplanes and cars. Its toy production began in 1934, and its figures were sold in the dime-store market. The company operated from the 1930s into the postwar period, producing military miniatures and other metal toys. A Manoil anti-aircraft gunner figure dated about 1935 is held by The Strong National Museum of Play.

The story of Manoil
The Manoil brothers, Maurice and Jack, established the Manoil Manufacturing Company in the 1920s. Its toy production began in 1934. The company made hollow-cast toy soldiers, as well as metal airplanes and cars; by the early 1940s its products also included other figurines and playset designs. The military figures included an anti-aircraft gunner documented by The Strong National Museum of Play as a cast-lead toy made about 1935.
Manoil was associated with Waverly, New York, and also operated a factory in Manhattan before relocating upstate in 1940. The company continued in operation until 1959. Its output placed it among American makers of metal toy soldiers and vehicles in the years before plastic figures became widespread.
