An iconic American toy brand known for its remarkable miniature figures, Manoil prides itself in its detailed manufactured collection of toy soldiers and other military assortments. It mainly specializes in lead soldiers or "dimestore soldiers," that are recognized for their small size and intricate details. The Manoil line marks a significant part of the golden era of toy manufacturing, making it a valuable part of any vintage toy collection.

Founded in 1927 in Middletown, New York, by brothers Maurice and Jack Manoil. The Manoil Manufacturing Company initially focused on producing die-cast products but shifted their focus to toy soldiers during the Great Depression. The brothers saw a void in the market and catered to children who couldn't afford more expensive toys, marking a significant shift in the toy industry. Throughout the 193s, Manoil became one of the big three toy soldier manufacturers, alongside Barclay and Grey Iron. However, due to increasing concerns about lead poisoning, they were forced to halt production in the 194s. The decline in the lead toy industry, coupled with the financial hardships of World War II, eventually led to the company's closure in 1959.
