The story of Manamo
Manamo was one of several notable Spanish toy brands in the first half of the 20th century, during the period when the Spanish toy industry flourished. It shared the market with firms including Josfel, Jeysa, Electrotrén and Enrique Keller. In the 1940s, metal shortages led to renewed use of wood in toy production across Spain. By the 1950s, plastic was changing toy manufacturing and design, and became popular in the following decades.
