These brightly-colored, interlocking bricks often come in sets, designed to inspire the user's creativity and encourage problem-solving. Whether it's realistic architectural replicas, immersive themed sets like Star Wars or Harry Potter, or just a simple bucket of random bricks, the magic of LEGO lies in the endless possibilities it offers for imaginative play. With LEGO, you're not just playingyou're also building, creating, and learning.
LEGO was founded by Danish carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen in 1932. The name LEGO is derived from the Danish words "leg godt," which translates to "play well." Initially, LEGO only produced wooden toys, but in 1947 they started manufacturing plastic toys. The famous building blocks that we associate with LEGO today were not introduced until 1958. Since then, LEGO has continuously evolved and expanded its product line. Yet, they remain committed to their original vision of fostering creativity and imagination. Interesting fact: The design of the original LEGO bricks from 1958 is so perfect that they still interlock with the bricks produced today!
