The story of Josfel (Jos-Fel)

Jos-Fel was a toy and model railway maker in Barcelona, specializing in O gauge trains. The Museu d’Història de la Joguina describes its trains as simply made and robust. A specialist railway history says the workshop made locomotives and wagons in small series, including approximately 50 locomotives and 200 wagons per series.

Around 1950, ownership passed from José Feliu to Jaime González Forrellac and Ignacio Cuatrecases, according to the specialist account. The museum dates the change to 1951 and says the business then took the name Electrotren. Railmotif adds that Josfel presented an H0 gauge wagon before Cuatrecases left the partnership and González formed Electrotren. The transition marked a move from Jos-Fel’s small-series production to Electrotren’s broader catalogue of O gauge trains and accessories.
