JNF, otherwise known as Johann Neuhierl Frth, is a renowned German toy brand primarily recognized for its production of tin-made mechanical and friction toys. These vintage toys, most geographically linked to the city of Frth, Germany, span a wide array of automobile models. JNF's items remain coveted collectibles, known for their distinct design, intricate detailing and the nostalgic charm they evoke.
Established in 1923 by Johann Neuhierl, JNF originated from the city known as the 'Cradle of the German Toy Industry', Frth. Launching himself into the industry at a time when metal-based toys were massively popular, Neuhierl was able to make his mark. The JNF brand gained popularity, between the 193s and 50s, for its exquisite automobile toy models, particularly the friction-driven cars. The 195's saw JNF facing competition from the advent of plastic toys, but despite these challenges, they persisted, forever cementing their legacy in the annals of vintage toys.
