Gützold's journey began in 1946 in the German state of Saxony. Its founder, Hans Gützold, a passionate model train enthusiast himself, dreamt of providing collectors with the finest quality of miniature model trains, and he certainly did that. During the initial years, Gützold faced substantial challenges due to the war recovery efforts, but this only fuelled their passion and determination which ultimately resulted in the grandeur and prestige the brand enjoys today.
