The story of Gecomodel
Gecomodel made railway models and accessories in IIm, 0, HO and HOm scales. Its range included locomotives, passenger coaches and vans, as well as kits and accessories in brass and white metal. The maker described its models as functional, including models intended for operation on layouts.
In a notice dated June 2024, Gecomodel said it had stopped manufacturing several years earlier, while continuing customer service for available parts and spares. A February 2026 notice reported that some HOm and IIm accessories remained in stock and would not be replenished once sold out. In another notice that month, the maker described a planned exhibition of its IIm models at Chambéry and signed the post “G. Comellas.” In June 2026, it announced the sale of its centrifuge and white-metal foundry, equipment used to make wagons, locomotives and accessories.
