Gebauer
Gebauer was a German maker of small-series brass model railway trains, particularly models in 0 gauge. Its locomotives and other railway models were produced in workshops and also supplied under the Eurotrain label, a group that included Gebauer, M+L and Hübner. The work was associated with model maker Horst Gebauer, whose models were known to the European brass-model railway trade.

The story of Gebauer
Horst Gebauer made small-series brass railway models, including many in 0 gauge. His workshop produced locomotives and other models for a specialist market. Gebauer later joined M+L and Hübner in the Eurotrain group, whose models were delivered under the Eurotrain label. The account of the group also records the early death of Gebauer’s son, who had worked in the business, and a workshop fire that left Horst with serious lung injuries. Horst Gebauer died on 16 October 2013.
