Fun-Ho! was a fantastic toy story that began in 1935 in Taranaki, New Zealand. The founders, Jack Underwood and Ike Doak, initially carved the toy designs from timber and then switched to die-casting metal after WWII. Fun-Ho! not only satisfied the cravings of young car enthusiasts but also contributed to the country's war efforts by recycling lead from car batteries into toy production. This display of ingenuity and resourcefulness made them a pivotal part of New Zealand's history. By the 196s, Fun-Ho! was a household name, synonymous with joy and resilient toys, but sadly, they ceased production by 1982 due to competition from imported plastic toys.
