Elastolin, a distinguished name in the world of vintage toys, made its mark in the industry for its painted composition figures—small-scale miniatures that were high in detail and appealed to both children and collectors alike. With distinctive categories that span military, western, and farm themes, this brand has always stood out for its dedication to precision and imaginative design. The memories that these vintage toys evoke are as potent today as they were back when they first thrilled the young adventurers of the past.

Elastolin, originally known as "Lineol", was-founded in the heart of Germany, Brandenburg an der Havel, in 1906. The company was established by Oskar Wiederholz, driven by his passion for toys and a vision for innovative design. The brand's transformation to "Elastolin" happened in 1912 after a newly introduced production process. The composition material used to make the figures—derived from a mix of sawdust, kaolin, and animal glue—became a defining feature of Elastolin. An intriguing fact about Elastolin is that the brand had to halt production during World War II due to material shortages, but it returned with a bang in the 195s. This is the era when most of the most sought-after Elastolin collectibles were created.
