The story of Duquesita
A Duquesita doll made by Duque Hnos. in Montevideo is documented in 1957. A later account of the Montevideo toy museum El Juguetero identifies Duquesita dolls as products of Duque Hnos. and notes that they are displayed with the original shop sign. These records associate the doll line with Uruguay’s toy trade and its surviving material history.
