The story of De Kattenrug

The Katterugclub formed in 1981 as a club for owners of the Volvo PV 444, PV 544, PV 445 and P210, models produced between 1944 and 1968. It emerged from the V44 Vereniging, whose original focus was the PV 444, PV 544 and related Duett. The earlier association broadened its membership to include newer Volvo lines such as the Amazon and P1800; some PV owners then split off to retain a smaller club focused on the older models.

The Katterugclub later became a friends’ club of the KNAC. It has provided technical support, adjustment days, meetings and driving events. Its club magazine has carried restoration accounts and advice, travel writing, history, technical material and activity reports. The club also attends the annual Volvo Klassieker Beurs alongside other Volvo clubs.
