Georges Carette is a historic toy brand renowned for miniature models aimed at the refined collector. Although the brand was most well-known for their intricately detailed tin toys, they also ventured into other products like trains, boats, and even steam engines. The creative genius behind these toys was their ability to exhibit both realism and novelty, making them a big hit for both children and adults alike!

The story of Georges Carette is an interesting tale bound in the history of the toy world. The brand was established in 1886 in Nuremberg, Germany; a city known for its toy making expertise. It was initially a partnership between Carette and a businessman, Krauss. However, this partnership dissolved in 1893, after which Carette took solo control. He led the company to further success, with his toys considered as some of the best during that era. An interesting fact is that during the peak of the company's success, they employed over 800 workers. The company sadly ceased operations in 1917, with Carette's retirement marking the end of an era in vintage toy manufacturing.
