Buehler
Gebrüder Bühler was a German maker of clockwork motors for the toy industry. Founded in the Black Forest as a clock factory, the company added toy-industry clockwork motors before 1900. In 1925, production moved to Nuremberg to be closer to the growing toy industry. Bühler later shifted toward electric motors, producing its first in 1955. The firm’s history connects its toy trade to mechanical drives rather than to the die-cast cars, trucks and aircraft described in the earlier entry.
