Miniatur Wunderland
Miniatur Wunderland is the world's largest model railway exhibition, featuring extensive and intricately detailed layouts. The museum showcases miniature landscapes and cities from various regions, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the USA. Founded by Frederik and Gerrit Braun, Miniatur Wunderland has become a major attraction due to its vast scale and remarkable attention to detail, with visitors able to explore a variety of meticulously crafted scenes and operations of model trains.
The idea for Miniatur Wunderland began with the Braun brothers' passion for model railroads. The first layout was set up in a small space, but due to the overwhelming popularity and growth of the project, it quickly expanded into a larger venue. Opened in 2001, Miniatur Wunderland has continued to grow, adding new sections and expanding its model train exhibits.
