After having bought a 0 gauge MÄRKLIN collection an extra bonus appeared. The middleman handed over a rather small piece, which created an instant smile on the face. An unseemingly object appeared out of the box, but a nice known. CONTI models are not very wide disseminated outside Italy. And if you find any models, in most cases you will find trains for H0 gauge (in AC or DC). One of their most famous trains was the SETTEBELLO (beautiful seven); a luxury and fast train during the 1950s. This extraordaniary train has not been often reproduced as a model. But CONTI did, mainly as a three-car set, occasionally as a four-car set and only one (or maybe a couple?) as a true model as a seven-car set. This special edition was given to the famous Italian bariton Gino Bechi.

Aside from the trains CONTI has produced some nice accessories going with the trains. A rather uncommon model is this freight station. It is complete with its original marking on the bottom. A very nice piece has come to the KallisToys Museum Collection to enhance our Italian diorama.
