Can you imagine to stay in such a lovely place, like modelled in scale 1:87 (for H0 gauge)? This premanufactured wooden house is called "Simmentaler Gasthof" and bears #6478/1. The Swiss region "Simmental" is in the middle of the country and its name is derived from the ancient words "septem valles" (seven valleys). As you may know, a Simmentaler is also a type of cow from the Alpin countries, grassfed and wellknown for its high quality meat.

The manufacturer of this delicate toy house is Dr. Rudolf Spitaler, famous for its premanufactured wooden toy houses from the early 1950s. Look at all those details of this beautiful model. This one is quite a rare piece and part of a series of typical Swiss houses by Spitaler. We are happy that we have found this piece for the KallisToys Museum Collection.
