Zeuke Borsig: completing the 0 gauge coach set
Hans van Dissel's 0 gauge Zeuke Borsig is a streamlined 2-6-2 locomotive from the former East Germany. Like its matching coaches, it is made of Bakelite.
Zeuke produced two coach types for it: a second/third-class passenger coach and a Mitropa dining car. The dining cars appeared in different shades of red, while the passenger coaches came in several shades of green.
Hans already had two coaches when he found a boxed example in the same green as his existing passenger coach. With three coaches behind the Borsig, the train made a much more satisfying complete set.
Matching colours can be a challenge with these models. Have you put together a Zeuke Borsig train, or found an unusual colour variation?
