Massive, unknown and rare. How else to describe this piece? What you see is a Spanish tank locomotive from the late 1940s, manufactured by MANAMO. Built for 0 gauge and weighing a ton, this metal steam engine earns its “massive” label. Toys from the Franco era (1940s to 1960s) are rarely found outside of Spain, due to limited export under the political regime. Even today, the MANAMO name is largely unknown among collectors. While exact production numbers remain unclear, surviving examples are scarce. This one was added to the KallisToys Museum Collection and professionally restored due to zincpest issues affecting the wheels.
