Zeuke & Wegwerth is a renowned toy brand, chiefly known for their detailed and high-quality model railway items. Zeuke & Wegwerth was started in 1949 in East Germany under the leadership of Holger Erik Zeuke and Helmut Wegwerth. The company initially produced metallic miniature models of rolling stock (trains) and expanded to other products over time. A masterstroke in their history occurred when they launched the TT gauge, a meticulous blend of detail and compact size. In 1972, the brand was nationalised and renamed to Berliner TT Bahnen, though many vintage collectors still refer to the original name, remembering its roots and cherishing its legacy.
