Sabra
Sabra was the name used for Gamda Koor’s 1:43-scale die-cast model-car range, made in Israel in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The range included American cars, many made from original castings, alongside vehicles with Israeli civilian, military, police and taxi markings. Some models were exported to the United States by Cragstan as Detroit Seniors. Earlier Gamda toys included transport and military vehicles made using British tooling.

The story of Sabra
Gamda began making die-cast toys in Israel, first using older British tooling for transport and military vehicles. The later Sabra range, produced under Gamda Koor, focused on 1:43-scale cars, including American models and versions with Israeli markings. Many of the cars used original castings, and the range was sold as Sabra Super Cars in export markets. Cragstan marketed some in the United States as Detroit Seniors. Specialist histories place most Sabra production between 1969 and 1972, though they differ on when Gamda partnered with Koor: one gives circa 1966, while another dates Gamda's formation to 1962.
