Quiralu
Description
Quiralu is a vintage toy brand known for producing a wide range of miniatures and figurine toys. The brand specializes in die-cast racing cars, cyclists, animals and soldiers with emphasis on detail and accuracy to real life counterparts. Quiralu has a dedicated group of collectors that appreciate its unique creativity in design and authenticity in details.
The story of Quiralu began in 1933 in Luxeuil, France by Lucien Quirin. It was during the interwar period where the brand achieved considerable success with one of its famous products - the Somua bus models. Particularly notable is the use of zamak, an alloy that granted the Quiralu models an exceptional level of finesse and detail. The brand had a setback in 1964 due to economic pressure but it resumed its manufacturing process in 1991 with the promise to uphold and retain the charm of vintage design in their models. An interesting fact about Quiralu is that molds of some of their models were reused by Mignot, to create new ranges of soldiers, historical figures and animals.
