Nicky Toys
Nicky Toys was an Indian toy marque used by S. Kumar & Co. for diecast models made from Dinky Toys tooling acquired from Meccano. The range included versions of existing Dinky models, such as the Jeep 405, as well as models reported as specific to Nicky, including police and taxi cars. Some toys retained Dinky numbering and markings, while later packaging carried the Nicky name. Nicky models are known from the early 1970s and continued to be found in India in the early 1980s.

The story of Nicky Toys
Originating from India in the 196s, Nicky Toys was established as a subsidiary brand of the larger and renowned Matchbox Toys, based in the UK. The brand was primarily aimed at capturing the Indian toy market. Nicky Toys took pride in creating replicas of real-world vehicles that fascinated children and adults alike. The brand's unique history further adds to the collectability of these models. Notably, Nicky Toys was lesser known outside of India, lending it a certain niche uniqueness amongst international collectors.
