Initiated in Portugal during the 196s, Metosul sprang forth from the then-leading toy manufacturer, Metalurgia Casalinho Lda. Their initial venture was centered on the production of die-cast toys and soon they started to focus exclusively on scale car models. Their first-ever model, a Mini Cooper, was striking for its near-perfect detail. Metosul models seem to encapsulate the spirit of the cars they represent, making them an enchanting addition to any collection. Interesting fact, in the 197s during the time of petrol rationing, Metosul ingeniously managed to produce lighter-coloured models using less energy.
