Fairylite
Fairylite was a British trade name used for toys and dolls’ house miniatures. The 1956 Games and Toys Yearbook lists a Fairylite series of toys supplied by Graham Bros. of London, while a surviving Fairylite-marked plastic sewing table documents the brand’s dolls’ house accessories. Museums Victoria describes Graham Bros. as a toy wholesaler that imported and sold toys in the UK. The yearbook also lists Fairylite balloons supplied by British Rubber Products, showing that the name appeared on products beyond the Graham Bros. toy range.

The story of Fairylite
Fairylite was a trade name used by a London firm that imported goods from Germany, Japan and Hong Kong. A specialist dolls’ house reference dates the name’s first appearance to 1927 and identifies S. Erhard & Son as the firm that registered it. It reports that E. M. and R. L. Graham were named as partners in advertisements by that year and later registered the name Graham Bros. (Fairylite) Ltd.
The 1956 Games and Toys Yearbook lists a Fairylite series of toys under Graham Bros. of London. It separately lists Fairylite balloons supplied by British Rubber Products, reflecting use of the name by more than one supplier. A plastic sewing table in the Museums Victoria collection provides an object-level example of the toy range: the circa-1950s dolls’ house accessory bears the Fairylite and Made in England mark, and the museum identifies Graham Bros. as the wholesaler using the brand.
