The story of Bodan
The origin of Bodan dates back to the year 1957, when passion for precision and love for miniatures intertwined to give birth to this exquisite brand in the bustling city of Kobe, Japan. The founder, Bodan Daruma, an artistic visionary and a school teacher, aimed to transform the art of toy-making with profound delicacy and creativity. In the early days, founded under the name "Bodan Toy Studio", the brand was known for plywood toys. Later, Bodan expanded its horizons by exploring the fascinating world of metal and plastic toys. Here’s an interesting fact: the first ever plastic model created by Bodan was a stunning replica of the 'Yamato' battleship, which is still revered among collectors.
